MARCIANO DUNKS HIS WAY TO SUCCESS

Logan Marciano is a sophomore student at Struthers High School. He is a proud member of the Wildcats basketball team.

The sophomore student athlete prioritizes basketball as his number one sport. The Wildcats basketball team has won many titles in the past few years. Marciano believes he is a good asset to his team, but there’s always room for improvement.

Marciano does a lot of extra work during the offseason to prepare for his upcoming season.

“I trained with coaches in the offseason, and personal trainers as well, and just did all the things I needed to do to get ready to come back as a different player in the regular season,” says Marciano.

As a member of the team, Marciano strongly believes that you need to have a good attitude towards yourself, teammates and coaches if you want to succeed. Winning isn’t just a one person job; it takes the whole team working together to accomplish this goal.

The athlete believes the most important asset you need to have for this sport is confidence, as well as confidence in your teammates to succeed.

“Stay positive and never get down on yourself and motivate others around you even when they’re not doing their best,” says the sophomore.

The basketball player has always watched this sport on TV since he was a child. He has a lot of favorite athletes, but there is one in particular that catches his eye.

He believes that this athlete has always stayed faithful to his team no matter what because loyalty is the most important thing.

“One person I look up to is Bruce Thorton, because he’s stayed loyal to Ohio State, even in tough times with the team when their record wasn’t that good,” says Marciano.
