CARCELLI SIGNS OUT HER SENIOR YEAR ON FIELD

Angelina Carcelli is a senior at Struthers High School. Carcelli has been playing soccer for 13 years. She is extremely smart with a GPA of 3.9.

The student athlete plays club soccer in her off season to stay up on her skill and athleticness. Tons of hard work and dedication goes into this sport. Carcelli does this so she can play to the best of her abilities for the season.

Everyone who has played sports knows it is difficult to get the spot you want on whatever team you’re on. Whatever spot you play, most believe you like the position.

“I play striker; I have not always played this position. I was a center defender all the way up until junior year of high school which is when I first started striker,” says Senior.

The soccer player is still uncertain about what she will do in her future, soccer wise.

Tons of students look forward to college because of the sports and some are unsure of what their next move will be.

“I am undecided but am playing in an All Star game coming up soon to help my decision,” says the athlete.

Carcelli can be considered very lucky; she has gotten to play her favorite sport with her twin sister.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have siblings let alone a twin. Angelina and Alyssa (her twin sister) are very alike causing them to bump heads every so often.

“It has been very fun playing with my sister, no matter how often we may argue on the field,” says Carcelli.
