DAILEY DISCOVERS WAYS TO KEEP STUDENTS ENTERTAINED

Mr. Dailey is an American History, Advanced Placement Government and Advanced Placement Psychology teacher at Struthers High School. Dailey is a very helpful and supportive person, always putting everyone’s needs before his own.

Mr. Dailey has been teaching at Struthers for 19 years. He is a very community-oriented person. Dailey finds it enjoyable to help others whenever they need.

The American History teacher enjoys gaining relationships with kids that take deep devotion to their learning.

“I enjoy the connections that I make with students who are interested and curious to learn,” says Dailey.

Since Dailey has been with SHS for a while, he has made many memories that will stick with him forever. He is a very hard-working teacher, meaning he  tries to get everyone to enjoy school. One day Mr. Dailey said to a student, “Come to school because you want to, not just because you have to.”

Dailey realizes educating during Covid- 19 was a huge impact.

“Teaching during the Covid Pandemic will likely be some of the most memorable moments. Having to adapt lessons, communicate through Google Meet and find ways to continue to connect with students was likely the most challenging time in my career. There were also many great experiences as Student Council advisor and LINK advisor from years in the past that I will always remember,” says Dailey.

Dailey has a very specific way he does and acts in his class. He always wants everyone to be a part of the conversation. Coming from  students, they enjoy class better when their teacher is involved, which Mr. Dailey never fails at.

If Dailey wasn’t a teacher, he would work in the fields he teaches.

“I would likely be in a career helping others. Whether through social work, psychology, or other legal professions, I would certainly be in a career that is not motivated by money, but rewarding through helping others,” says Dailey.
