Jared Leto, Cameron Monaghan, Evan Peter and other famous actors starred in the new “Tron: Ares” movie. This movie premiered on October 10th, 2025.
“Tron: Ares” has a screen time of 1 hour and 52 minutes. It’s an action filled movie that incorporates many futuristic powers, cars, gadgets, etc. The movie starts with an opening fight scene where Caius (Cameron Monaghan) is seen going up against multiple enemies alongside Ares (Jared Leto).
The fight scenes at the beginning are a little soft and light hitting, almost as if the actors aren’t actually punching their enemies. The hand-to-hand combat is extremely disappointing from a 2025 action film. While the hand to hand combat is weak or null, the vehicle combat is amazing and well thought out. An especially cool fight scene was when Ares gets spawned into the physical world, and he’s on his tron bike, cops are behind him so he turns his laser trail on. The whole cop car splits right in half behind him.
All of the special effects and colors that also coincides with the fight scenes bring the movie together. Without the special effects of the red laser trails, the whole movie would have been a flop. These laser effects being on all of the weapons and bikes make the scenes look futuristic. The special effects make the movie very futuristic looking, which was the main focus of the movie.
This wouldn’t be a very recommended movie, unless the viewer is a massive fan of Tron. The movie “Tron:Ares” would only get a rating of 3 out of 10 stars.
