“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” premiered on November 14, 2002, and it is 2 hours and 38 minutes long.
“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” was the second movie made based on the books written by J.K Rolling and was produced by Chris Columbus. This movie followed Harry Potter’s (Daniel Radcliffe) second year attending Hogwarts. It begins with a mysterious elf warning Harry not to go back to Hogwarts. It shows Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermonie (Emma Watson) going through many triumphs to figure out who Tom Riddle (Christian Coulson) is and what he wants.
An important part of this movie is the acting. The majority of the cast are kids which makes their abilities even more impressive. The cast does a phenomenal job at evoking emotions out of the audience and really making the movie seem so real. Without the acting, this movie wouldn’t have taken off the way that it did.
This movie follows the book very accurately. This is very important because the books were very popular, and if it wasn’t accurate to them, then it wouldn’t have succeeded the way that it did. They included very important scenes like Ron rescuing Harry from his house, the final battle with Tom and Harry and the writing on the wall. All of these scenes really make the movie connect very well with the books.
In conclusion, this movie would be highly recommended to any ages who like family/fantasy movies.
