Ashley Marcucci is a junior at Struthers High School. Marcucci has been playing volleyball since seventh grade and is a varsity player.
The athlete became a varsity player her sophomore year and has been playing varsity since then.
Marcucci plays multiple positions.
¨ I play outside / opposite and maybe back row on a good day,¨ says Marcucci.
The outside hitter has faith in her accomplishments this season and the effort she will bring into the next season. Being tougher mentally and physically while working hard in the off season.
The student athlete starts thinking about next season.
¨I believe next year we will be able to get stronger mentally and physically to be the best we can be,¨ says Marcucci.
The athlete is confident in her season this year and believes the team did well.
The student has good things to say about her team and the season.
¨There were many times it went amazing and others where it could have been better,¨says Marcucci.
The athlete believes that her and her team’s best game was against Poland. Even though senior night was a tough loss, the team pushed and took a set away from them. She has two favorite teammates, Andonia Kavouras and Elliana Benson, who picks her up when she is down.
