Kylee Kashmiry is a junior cheerleader at Struthers High School. She likes her position as a backspot and will continue to cheer into senior year.
She has cheered since the beginning of first grade and will always have love for it.
Kylee loves and enjoys cheer but like anything, hardships come but she overcomes them.
¨Quitting the team my freshman year because of the girls, but I overcame it by joining the team again with an open mind and a better team,¨ says Kashmiry.
She worked through all of her battles and loves stunting. Even in front
of the crowd, it makes her nervous but she also loves the people watching because it makes her proud.
Her mother and grandmother motivate her the most, they love watching her cheer and they support her during the season even with the issues that occur.
¨If stuff happens with a stunt we can overcome it and talk about it, it taught me how to communicate when there comes a problem,” says Kashmiry.
She also motivates herself by taking deep breaths so she doesn’t get irritated and continues to push herself.
She also enjoys her peers around her who have taught her so much.
¨ I think my favorite is the senior class, i’ve grown a good bond with them and they make cheering a lot more enjoyable,” says Kashmiry.
She is excited for the last year of high school to come and keep cheering.
