Gianna Cannon, Feature Writer
Gianna is 16 years old and is in 11th grade.
She enjoys English and Journalism the most out of her courses. Her favorite food is sushi, and one of her favorite restaurants is Mizu. She listens to indie and pop music quite often. Although she likes a variety of artists, her favorites are Rihanna and Taylor Swift. Her favorite movie is “Little Women” (2019) while her favorite TV series is “House of the Dragon,” a spin off of “Game of Thrones.”
Gianna is involved in a few extracurricular activities. She loves getting involved in her community through the Interact Club and has been in the group for her entire high school career. She has also been involved in French Club during each year of school, and loves participating in French-inspired activities. Gianna is the Interact Club Secretary and hopes to receive a leadership position in the French Club. She just recently joined both the Future Teachers Club and Medical Careers Club. She is also a new member on the Student Council and is a LINK Leader. Above all, her favorite hobby is spending time with family, friends, and most importantly, her dog. Her favorite aspect of school is getting to learn about subjects that truly interest her. This year, that applies to government and environmental science as those are her AP classes. She also loves to enhance her writing through her English courses.
Gianna hopes to succeed in all of her courses this year. She has taken on new challenges and wants to gain a better understanding of the world around her. She expects her junior year to be one of the most difficult but has hope that she is capable of maintaining her work ethic. Gianna is working towards graduating high school and attending college to major in Journalism or Communications.
