During the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders drafted arguably one of the top players in this year’s draft, Ashton Jeanty.
Jeanty had a breakout year in college football, setting numerous records during that time and being very close to breaking the all-time rushing record in college football.
With those types of stats and accolades that Jeanty had after this year, it was only right for him to enter the NFL draft as a top prospect this year.
The Raiders team drafted well with this pick, knowing that this would be way more fuel to the fire than the team had before.
¨It has been a crazy 24 hours,right now I cant explain the feeling,not much sleep but a lot of excitement going into this,¨says Jeanty.
Knowing that the Raiders needed a great pick, Jeanty will bring more power to this team and a boost of confidence knowing the type of player that they have.
Head Coach Pete Carroll had a lot to say about this draft pick being excited about what he will bring to the team.
¨There are more than enough things to talk about when it comes to him, of course he is hard to tackle. I mean you saw it for yourself,¨says Carroll.
With Carroll being a very experienced head coach and knowing what to do with players like this, also coaching Marshawn Lynch. Jeanty reminds Carroll of Lynch.
The Raiders also had some more great draft picks, selecting a lot of lineman hoping that they will bring their best to block for the new running back.
Overall with this draft pick, this was the best pick that the Raiders have made in over 20 years.
¨I think the word is dynamic for us. Jeanty has the ability to do it all. He can run with power, he can run short yardage, he can do whatever you need him to do,¨says Carroll.
Jeanty can come out and be one of the best running backs in the league if he puts in the work and determination to do so.
