¨The Avengers” is a movie that was released in 2012 based on the comic books written by Stan Lee.
In the movie, ¨The Avengers.¨ 6 heroes come together to put an end to Lokis (Tom Hiddleston) plans to take over Earth. The 6 heroes include Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson). The avengers are called together by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who is the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. They have to learn to fight and trust each other so that they are able to save New York and make Furys dream team come true.
The special effects in “The Avengers” are highly detailed and very realistic. Especially in the fighting scenes, the editors and producers tried to make the movie feel real. The film relies on CGI very heavily, especially creating the superheroes and their abilities. A lot of the movie involves visual effects and there was a lot of post-production. However, some scenes and aspects are filmed practically.
The characters in “The Avengers” must learn to trust each other and get to know each other. All characters have to deal with their own struggles in their life, which adds more conflict when trying to save New York. The movie highlights each character’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as their own personalities. The well known rivalry between Stark and Rogers is carried through many more movies and we see the beginning of it in “The Avengers.”
The movie “The Avengers” deserves a 4 out of 5 star rating. It contains a very talented cast and an engaging plot and story.
