The Struthers Wildcats baseball team played against the Lakeview Bulldogs at Lakeview on Tuesday, April 1.
This was the second game of the season and after a defeating loss the cats came back and won the game beating the dogs 10-6.
Jordan Becker is a sophomore; this is his second year on varsity, and he plays shortstop and is a pitcher.
The pitcher thinks the game went really well.
“During the first game we all did really well putting the ball in play,” says the sophomore.
The game was going great for the team. Hitting and getting runs was very helpful to the Cats.
The student thinks the team did pretty good playing the dogs.
The athlete says, “Our hitting was working really well against Lakeview; we just have to work on some stuff defensively.”
Struthers taking this win helped with the drive to win the upcoming games.
The second basemen thinks that they will do well going into the next game.
“The momentum going off of the win was good; it was our first major conference win and a good momentum booster,” says Becker.
