The Ohio State Buckeyes recruiting class of ‘25 is loaded with a lot of potential and could be promising for the next couple of years for the Buckeyes.
The ‘25 class for the Bucks is looking promising with some five-star recruits with crucial spots that need depth. The Quarterback position and the Defensive Back position could use some help with these seniors coming in. Quarterback Tavien St. Clair, coming from Bellatonfaine High School, has a missile on his arm, and he can run like a track star. The other five-star is Devin Sanchez, coming from North Shore Senior High School, who is very athletic and could be a massive impact for the Buckeyes.
247 Sports Analyst, Gabe Brooks, realizes that Sanchez is a one of a kind Defensive Back.
“Owns a rare combination of frame length, fluidity, and sudden athleticism. Controlled, measured style of play that belies elite athleticism. Combines smooth movement with twitched-up explosiveness. Awareness and instincts enhance those physical and athletic advantages. Comfortable on an island with the required juice to turn and run in the vertica game. Also can excel in zone situations because of frame and instincts,” said Brooks.
There are also some very talented players for the Bucks: Running Back Bo Jackson from Villa Angela-St. Joseph. Jackson is not related to the NFL Legend Bo Jackson, but he has the same run style as him. He is a gritty, hard-nosed back that any middle linebacker doesn’t want to meet in the gap. Another weapon that could help Ohio State is Wide Receiver from Bergen Catholic is four-star Quincy Porter. Scouts remind him of DeVante Parker from the New England Patriots. He can beat you off his release or he can go get it from the air. He is a magnet to Quarterbacks and could help any offense tremendously if he is developed.
247 Sports Analyst, Hudson Standish knows that Bo is going to be ready for how they play ball in The Shoe.
“One of the best offensive skill players in the Midwest at this stage of the evaluation process with the ability to succeed running between the tackles or outside in a modern offensive scheme. Owns a physically imposing college-ready frame verified around 6-foot, 205 pounds. Ability to stack cuts together to find green grass in the open field is extremely impressive considering his size. Routinely showcases impressive contact balance and consistently runs through arm tackles,” said Standish.
Switching to the defensive side, they always say, ‘Defenses win Championships’, and Ohio State has some big defensive recruits coming in. Coming out of McKinney High School in Texas, ranked second in the nation for linebackers, Riley Pettijohn, he can play in any defense that could be put on the field, and there’s a reason he’s second in the nation at his position. Another good commit to help out Ohio State is four-star Safety from Oldney, Maryland, Faheem Delane. He can do everything when you need someone back there in the secondary leading the defense to victory. He is a dog and could help elevate a team with his big hits and play making. He could help out the Bucks tremendously.
247 Sports Analyst, Andrew Ivins, says that Delane is a hawk on defense.
“An aggressive back-seven defender that can cover the pass, defend the run, and get home on the blitz. Owns a college-ready frame having measured roughly 6-foot-2.5, 200 pounds summer before junior season. Quick to trigger and tends to play with tons of confidence. Has been utilized primarily as a box safety and a slot corner at the prep level and found plenty of success in both roles. Physical more times than not and always looking to deliver a blow,” said Ivins.
These commits could really help the Buckeyes win for a long time if these recruits play to their capabilities. Buckeye fans are ready for the upcoming season already.
