Boston College started off their season hot bouncing back and forth between number 1 and 2 ranked.
After the win and loss over Providence, Boston College moves to number 1 ranked.
Boston College star player Ryan Leanord has a great game once again VS Providence.
Jacob Fowler, Boston College star goalie, believed that tonight’s game is giving him some playoff vibes between two good teams.
Jacob Fowler said, “Playoff intensity in the year tonight between these two top ranked teams. I think any time you get to the second half of the year the games get a little bit tighter and two really good teams go at it and you know it’s a good win for us so we’ll get back at it.”
Providence started off their season hot staying up in the top ten ranked all year, currently being ranked at number 7.
Providence had a good weekend going one and one vs Boston college losing the first one and then bouncing back winning the second one.
Providence has a great atmosphere at home games as it shows other teams say so.
Fowler thinks playing at Providence can be a struggle to play at.
Fowler said. “Wise and hockey points so obviously it’s a fun team to play and a good atmosphere like we had tonight but at the end of the day it’s just trying to get three.”
Boston College came into this year wanting nothing less than winning a national championship after how their season ended last year.
Last year, Boston College lost in an unfortunate game to Denver in the national championship ending their season and going home on a loss.
So now that they have experience and have some revenge, Boston College has the highest chance of winning the national championship this year.
Boston College Head Coach Grew Brown knows that Fowler helped keep them in the game tonight and without him Providence would have had a lot more scoring chances.
Brown said, “Again Providence was very strong at keeping us to the outside there were a few times I felt like and Hagen and sta got got some interior passes and made some shots, but for the most part it was hard to get to the net front. I thought Jacob did a good job for us and this feedback for them both made some really key saves to keep the game close, and we were able to get that god gave really fifty plays at the blue lane to get it across to.”
