“The Vampire Diaries” as a series, the first season coming out in 2009, which still continues to be one of the biggest TV shows in the world.
In the hit show “The Vampire Diaries,” a teenage girl named Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) falls in love with Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). Later on in the first season, she realizes that she found herself involved with vampires, including Stefan, and has to survive a town named Mystic Falls that is invested with vampires, werewolves and witches. There are love triangles, supernatural elements and more contained throughout all 8 seasons. There are more shows that are in the same universe as “The Vampire Diaries” named “The Originals” and “Legacies.”
The character development in “The Vampire Diaries” is mainly shown when they go through major changes. There are major shifts in characters’ personalities and their opinions throughout the show. An example of a major character development are the Salvatore brothers and Caroline Forbes (Candice King) because they go through many changes throughout the show. Caroline begins as being a self-centered and shallow cheerleader, and in the end, she is a loyal and kind person to everybody.
The plot in “The Vampire Diaries” centers mainly around Stefan, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena. First, Elena falls in love with vampire, Stefan Salvatore. People in her life are becoming supernatural left in right, including Caroline, Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) and more. Later on, Elena falls in love with Stefan’s brother Damon. They have to figure out how to survive in Mystic Falls with secrets unfolding from the past about the Salvatores and surviving from all supernatural beings.
“The Vampire Diaries” gets a 5/5 star rating because of its fast-paced plot, amazing and complex characters and surprising plot twists. The show is very entertaining and good for all ages.
