After a stressful past couple of seasons, the Houston Rockets are surprising a top 3 team in the western conference.
With how they are playing, the Rockets are looking to have a big run come playoff time.
It was just days ago they were able to keep their top spot in the Western Conference. Although they lost in a bear fight against the Grizzlies, they still are showing flashes of them playing great basketball.
6’11” center Alperen Sengun is needed for the Rockets’ success.
“Sengun’s been sidelined for all three of the team’s recent losses due to a calf contusion. He’s been listed as questionable a few times, but has been downgraded to out in each contest,” said NBA reporters.
The Rockets have a great team overall; they all can average around the same amount of points and get the win because none of them are selfish.
Thompson has been killing it for the team.
“The stuff that he’s been doing lately has been crazy. He’s a walking double-double. If his trey-ball and middie is falling, it’s even scarier because you can’t stop him downhill,” said teammate Jalen Green.
The Rockets keep a solid line up with how young they are, but every team needs a veteran.
Fred VanVleet seems to be enjoying his time with the younger guys.
“The Houston Rockets and veteran point guard VanVleet have mutual interest in extending his time with the franchise,” said by NBA reporters.
Houston’s next game is against Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves on Thursday, February 21.
