“Squid Game” is a very popular Korean show on Netflix. Season one came out on September 17, 2021, season two came out December 26, 2024.
“Squid Game” is about a man named Gi-hun who is taken to an island where they take hundreds of people at a time and make them compete in kids games for their lives. Many connections are made and lost. Season two is about Gi-Hun’s effort to stop the games and save lives. There are a lot of famous actors in the cast of “Squid Game” like Lee Jung-Jae who plays Gi-Hun, Choi Seung-hyun also known as T.O.P., HoYeon Jung and Lee Byung-hun who plays the front man who controls the games. The games consisted of red light, green light, tug of war and a six-legged race.
The games played within the show were a big part of the appeal. They took childhood games and items and twisted them. The games put the players against each other and show the mindset people are really in when it comes to life or death. It was impressive how well they could incorporate these things into the show.
The actors made the show and concepts complete. They are able to portray these mindsets and personalities in such a realistic way. The range of actors is even more crazy. There are actors, singers, models and more. The actors really bring “Squid Game” over the top.
“Squid Game” is a good show due to its amazing actors and interesting storyline. It should be watched if those themes are of interest.
