“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” is the fourth and final movie in “The Hunger Games” dystopian series. This movie came out on November 20, 2025.
This 2 hour and 11 minutes takes place in District 13. Throughout the entire movie, Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta), Liam Hemsworth (Gale) and Sam Clafflin (Finnick) all team up together to help the citizens of Panem and assassinate President Snow. Peeta struggles with getting his memory back and is confused on how he feels about Katniss. As the story goes on, Peeta is slowly starting to understand that Katniss loves him and isn’t the villain in this story. They eventually raid the Capitol and overthrow it. In the process of this, Katniss’s sister Willow Shields (Prim) dies from a bomb Gale has sent to the Capitol, and Julianne Moore (President Coin) wants to have another game, but with the Capitol’s children instead. They all put in their votes, and the new games are going to happen. Katniss is going to assaiante Snow but decides to shoot Coin instead. In the end, Katniss and Peeta live happily together with their two children.
One of the most major parts of this movie is Peeta’s brainwashing. No matter what happens, Peeta will never be the same. He was tortured by the Capitol and was forced to see Katniss as the enemy. Throughout this movie, he slowly is remembering what side Katniss is really on. By the end of the movie, he falls back in love with her.
Another major thing in this movie is the cgi. It really makes the movie a lot more enjoyable and realistic. They used amazing cgi in all of the scenes, like the metro chase scene. They also used this to show the hovercraft bombing, which showed many people dying, including children. Overall, the cgi helps represent war in this movie.
Taking this into account, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” is very recommended to people ages 13 and up who like action/Sci-fi movies, which have violence shown.
