- What are your plans after high school?
After high school, I plan on attending college to study nursing.
- How is the school year going for you so far?
This school year is going okay. I feel like this year is moving slower than normal. Other than that, I enjoyed spending time with friends this year and having a shorter school day.
- Did the Christmas break make school more difficult to attend to?
I think coming back to school after break is one of the hardest things of the school year. I also felt like I was on break forever this year, and that also made coming back to school difficult.
- What classes do you enjoy the most? What makes it enjoyable?
I enjoy Cats Cafe the most because I love to make different treats every week and make coffee on Fridays.
- How do you feel about graduating this year?
At first, I felt very sentimental, but as the year has gone on I can’t wait to graduate and focus on choosing my future career.

- What are your plans after high school?
I am enlisting into the Air Force after high school
- How is the school year going for you so far?
Very good and easy and smooth–the teachers, staff and students are all really friendly.
- Did the Christmas break make school more difficult to attend to?
Nope, I enjoyed all break and saw the fellas and hung with family so coming back to school wasn’t tough.
- What classes do you enjoy the most? What makes it enjoyable?
All my classes, what makes it enjoyable is the teachers and students I’m around make my days very enjoyable and breeze by.
- How do you feel about graduating this year?
I’m going to miss school a lot because I genuinely enjoy the social aspect of it, but it’s time to start a new chapter of life.
Katie Morris
- What are your plans after high school?
I plan on attending college to study Environmental Science.
- How is the school year going for you so far?
It’s going well, definitely less stressful than my junior year. I have a lot more time to balance work, school and friends.
- Did the Christmas break make school more difficult to attend to?
This Christmas break felt super long, and it started to feel like I was completely done with school, so yes, it definitely made school more difficult to attend.
- What classes do you enjoy the most? What makes it enjoyable?
I really enjoyed Mr. Pape’s History of Pop Culture class because it was really fun to watch movies throughout history and the assignments were super easy so it wasn’t stressful at all.
- How do you feel about graduating this year?
It is a little scary, but I’m super excited for summer. I’m also really excited to go to college and meet new people.
Anaurra Burgess
- What are your plans after high school?
After high school, I plan on going to college. Hopefully, I get accepted into Cleveland, Kent, or Ohio State. If not, I will attend YSU in pursuit of achieving my Bachelors in Science for Nursing. My goal is to become a nurse practitioner and working in the emergency room department.
- How is the school year going for you so far?
School has been a challenge thus far as this school year has definitely been my most challenging year when it comes to my workload in classes. I also have been struggling with my procrastination.
- Did the Christmas break make school more difficult to attend to?
Christmas break actually did the opposite for me, as the break alleviated the majority of the stress I had on me with the classes I am taking.
- What classes do you enjoy the most? What makes it enjoyable?
The class I enjoy the most this school year is Hopewell. I enjoy the connections and bonds made as we work together as a team to complete the yearbook. I also find taking photos and capturing students accomplish goals and working hard to be really enjoyable.
- How do you feel about graduating this year?
I feel very scared but excited for what the future holds. I don’t know exactly where life will take me, which makes me anxious to know where I’ll be in the next five years. However, I am excitied to further my eductaion and accomplish my goal for the past twelve years to receive my diploma.
Emma Hawkins
- What are your plans after high school?
After high school, I plan on attending a Christian university with a major in Biblical studies. I have not decided on a college yet but have it narrowed down to either Taylor University (IN), Anderson University (IN) or Malone University (OH). I want to go on to get a PhD and become a college professor.
- How is the school year going for you so far?
The year so far has been stressful and difficult to keep up with everything. My junior year was really stressful because of the workload I had in classes. This year is stressful because of extracurricular activities and things I’m doing outside of school.
- Did the Christmas break make school more difficult to attend to?
The Christmas break was nice and restful; I got to catch up on sleep. It made coming to school a little harder, but I do feel more productive when I come to school, so it’s not too bad.
- What classes do you enjoy the most? What makes it enjoyable?
I enjoy Advanced Art the most. Mrs Zappia lets us work at our own pace as long as we get it all done before the end of the grading period. I love expressing myself through art and making beautiful things. I also enjoy the environment and talking to the people in my class.
- How do you feel about graduating this year?
I am slightly nervous to be immersed in a world I don’t know surrounded by people I’ve never met. On the whole, however, I’m really excited to go to college and experience life as an adult. I’m also very ready to be done with high school.
