Natalie Wolikow is a junior athlete on the Struthers Varsity basketball team.
Wolikow has been playing basketball for Struthers since the third grade.
The athlete’s most memorable part of the season so far is beating her rival team and being the first in the conference to do it.
“The best moment so far was being the first team in the NE8 conference to beat Poland,” says Wolikow.
Though she loves the sport, she does not see herself continuing it but hopes to become a chiropractor in the future.
Wolikow believes the past game results do not reflect her team’s true potential.
“I think our record isn’t proving how talented we are, but we are improving as we go,” says Wolikow.
The junior looks up to the UConn Huskies’ guard, Paige Bueckers, because of her basketball IQ and how inspirational she is on and off of the court.
Wolikow felt very appreciative for winning Student Athlete of The Week.
“I was very honored and grateful because I have never earned it before,” says Wolikow.
