Throughout the book, there were a variety of characters. Including Ella, Andy, Ella’s ex-boyfriend, Carmen, Katie and Jess. These characters go really well together because they all have different personalities and point of views. Also the characters made the book a page-turner, and they helped you to imagine what is going on in the book. Whenever a major event happened the author did a great job of showing the characters emotions and how they really felt about each other. Even though the relationships between the characters were not perfect the whole time, they still showed a connection between each other. Overall, the author did a good job of showing the characters personalities throughout different parts of the book.
The book was very interesting, but it took a few chapters to get to that point. At first, it was not very intriguing because it was just about the characters and how they gave out paper hearts every Valentine’s Day. But once that part of the book was over, it definitely got better and the events became more entertaining. Although it was hard to start the book at first, it was worth it because there was always something happening, and you wanted to see what was going to happen next. This was certainly the lesser part of the book, but in the end, it was still a good book.
All in all, the book “11 Paper Hearts” gets a ⅘ because it was a great book it was just took some time to get into the interesting parts. This book would be recommended to someone who likes suspenseful and romance books. However, this book may not intrigue everyone if they are not used to this style of book.
