Ohio State battled against Penn State tough Penn State defense on November 2, but the one who shined the most was Will Howard that made the difference. Howard threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns including a crucial score to wide receiver Brandon Innis.
This victory keeps Ohio State in the spot for a College Football Playoff, with only a few weeks left in the regular season. With this win, the Buckeys remain in competition for the Big Ten East division title and a potential spot in the championship game.
Howard had to get back from last week and threw a crucial score.
“Feels better I’m definitely the touchdown but anything to help my team win third down first down whatever you guys aren’t supposed to listen to the noise that’s out there. But I’m sure you do if you check social media you guys know,” says Innis.
Innis had 2 receptions for 33 yards and one touchdown.
He needs to be there for his team and make sure to do whatever he can to win.
“The Buckeyes became a good force during the game, I think we all played well as a team,” says Innis.
Jeremiah Smith had 4 receptions for 55 yards with an average of 13.8 a reception.
Howard made sure to get the ball in the endzone after practice all week.
“We had to get the ball in the endzone and we worked in practice so I knew what to do,” said Howard.
The win over Penn State is a big one for Ohio State. They took on the Purdue Boilermakers in their next game on November 9. The Buckeyes blew out the Boilermakers, 45-0 at home, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
