Annabelle Serrano is a 10th grade student at Struthers High School. Serrano likes to read books in her free time: specifically mystery and crime.
The student wants to go to Mahoning County Career & Technical Center to get a better education for Criminal Psychology. She is interested in true crime and wants to help people.
Serrano wants to attend the school to shadow her cousins who went there.
“Next year, I want to go to MCCTC to follow in my cousin’s footsteps,” says the student.
Serrano believes that MCCTC has a better education system and will give her a better chance at criminal psychology. She believes they have more to offer, and they have more classes to take so she has more chances.
Serrano said that if criminal psychology isn’t an option, she’d opt to be a detective.
“If criminal psychology doesn’t work out, I’d be a detective,” says Serrano.
She said that being a detective would also let her help people in a different way. She wants to work and be in special cases to be able to do something and participate in people’s life and make people’s lives better.
She was binging true crime and fell in love with the idea of helping others.
“A year and a half ago I wanted to be a detective if I couldn’t do criminal psychology because I was watching true crime and really liked the jist of it and wanted to learn more about it” says the student.
Serrano wants to achieve a lot, and she thinks giving a chance to MCCTC would help her upbringing and further her education, giving her a chance to broaden her future.
