The Los Angeles Lakers kicked off their 2024 season with very high hopes.
Coming off an offseason with a bunch of new roster changes and new energy.
LA defeated Minnesota 110-103 to kick off the season on October 22.
This year the Lakers aim to build on last season’s playoff performance and are hungry for a championship.
“We’re not just here to compete, we’re here to dominate and reclaim our legacy,” said Lakers Head coach JJ Redick.
The game had standout performances from Anthony Davis and Lebron James.
They showed age is just a number as they led the team in scoring and rebound.
New additions to the roster showed impact, demonstrating that this year’s team has depth and versatility.
“We still have a lot to prove, “ James stated. “Every year brings new challenges, and we’re here to overcome them, we’re hungry and ready to take on anyone.”
The Lakers’ first victory sets an encouraging tone for their season.
With a mix of experienced stars and young talent, they are aiming high and have their sights set on a deep playoff run.
“We’ve got a target on our backs, but we’re embracing it,” said Coach Redick.”This season, we’re not just playing for wins, we’re playing to build a legacy.”
