The Colorado Buffaloes took on the Cincinnati Bearcats on October 26, coming up with the win at home.
Colorado played Cincinnati in week 8 of the regular season. Final score being 34-23, the Buffaloes not allowing the Bearcats to score at all in the third quarter. Colorado climbs to 21. Colorado had Texas Tech on Saturday November 9. Texas Tech coming off of a loss to TCU.
Coming off a bye-week, ranked 21st in the nation, Colorado takes on unranked Texas Tech on November 9th. Colorado with four games left in the regular season sits at 6-2. The Buffaloes two losses are against Nebraska and Kansas State. They wish to continue their winning pattern with hopes of clinching a bowl game.
The Buffaloes head football coach Deion Sanders expressed how he didn’t like how they played against the Bearcats at the end of the game and thinks they could have played better.
“I’m a little upset because the way we landed, I like to land a little cleaner and a little more smoother. We had a really good game going until the end with all the penalties, I don’t like that were better than that,” said Sanders.
Colorado had a great first half scoring most of their points, scoring 24 points in the first half, only allowing the Bearcats to come up with 14 in the first half. The Buffaloes came off on a great start in the first quarter Sheuder Sanders finding Travis Hunter for a 3 yard passing touchdown. Sanders wasn’t done yet in the first quarter running in for a 4 yard touchdown run leaving the score at 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. The Bearcats allowed Colorado to score 10 more points before the half.
Hunter had nine catches for 153 yards. Hunter plays both sides of the ball. The Heisman winner also broke up four passes on defense.
Colorado’s head coach emphasizes on how Travis Hunter is one of the greatest football players in the country, and he’s up for the Heisman award.
“Travis is the best college football player in the country, we all know that,” said the head coach.
Sanders had a great game against the Bearcats. He was 25/30 on completions. Sanders passed for 323 yards averaging 10.8 yards a pass, throwing 2 touchdowns. He is hoping to continue his Heisman ways as the season comes close to finishing.
Sanders is satisfied with how the offensive line played.
“They they had a flawless game out say pass pro, and we’ll see what happens this week for them,” said Sanders
