The Struthers softball team played their senior night game, and they won the game 14-1. The girls have had a rough start to their season, so it was nice to get this team win.

The girls knew they would have to step up this year due to the fact that they lost a few key players last year.

The seniors this year have kept a positive mindset throughout the year and are really trying to set their best example for the upcoming girls.

“I would tell younger kids to soak it all in; time goes by faster than you think,” says Myla Vince, a senior starter on the team.

Although the girls might not have had the season they were hoping for, they are still pushing themselves to their full potential.

Senior Night causes the seniors to become very emotional, but they keep their heads high and try to get through it.

“It was very emotional ,but it felt good because we played really well. It was a good game for my senior night to be on,” says Vince.

The girls have had a blast this season getting a bunch of softball experience and really just spending time with girls they grew up with.

The girls who have chosen to play softball explain that it really was one of the best decisions they ever made.

“I would suggest other people play because it’s a fun sport, and it creates bonds with people you would never expect,” says Vince.

The girls have done a great job this year on and off the field, regardless of their record.
