The NFL Draft brought tons of excitement with C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young around the football world on April 27th and 29th.
Young was the number one overall pick with C.J. Stroud followed him, going number two overall.
The Chicago Bears had traded there first pick to the Carolina Panthers where Young was selected as Carolina was searching in need for the best quarterback in the 2023 Draft.
He became the first Alabama player selected No. 1 overall since Harry Gilmer in 1948.
“”It’s a dream come true. I’m blessed. I want to thank God for allowing me to be here,” Young said.
The Panthers are getting a winner with dynamic playmaking ability, something the club has sought since 2019, when Cam Newton’s first run with the club came to an end.
Young is expected to be as great as Cam was and to carry on the legacy.
“And there were always stories about him driving around, stopping at the playground and playing—and like with Cam, it’s because they love competition,” Riviera said.
C.J. Stroud was drafted to the Houston Texans after Young as the Teaxans are searching for their new franchise quarterback after the Desaun Watson scandal.
Stroud was a prodigy at Ohio State and is looking to continue his greatness in Houston.
“God has battle-tested me,” Stroud said when asked how he felt when the Texans called. “He’s scared me, so I’ve been battle-tested. I have the armor of God on me. Everything I’ve been through has prepared me for this moment right here,” Stroud said.
Stroud and Young have a bright future ahead of them and have just started their NFL careers as Rookie mini-camp has just started.
