LEE THROWS INTO THE SEASON
Talisa Lee is a junior track thrower for the Cats.

Junior Talisa Lee is ready for the upcoming track season this year. She is a part of the throwing portion of track and field. She is so excited to see what these next couple years bring her. She hopes that her team will get along a lot more this season and is ready to push herself over the limits.
Lee is ready for what the season will bring her and hopes it will turn out good for their small team.
“I’m most excited about setting new personal goals and records. I’m working hard and hoping it will pay off,” says Lee.
Lee has been throwing for about two years now. She is responsible for throwing the discus and shot put. When she first started track, she was a runner and she is now moving forward to different things like throwing. She looks up to Colin Mateo the most because of his dedication and he’s helped her a lot along the way.
Lee says that the team has been really helpful throughout the transition from her running to throwing, they have been a big help.
“I remember when switching from running to throwing; everyone was so nice and helpful. I truly think the energy and the attitude of the team helped me become a better thrower,” says Lee.
Lee is so excited for the upcoming year and even her senior year to follow. She feels that this team has brought nothing but positivity and hopes that it will be a great season. Lee feels that her and her teammates have to work on being more focused during practice, and that will lead to victory.
Lee is ready for the season to start and hopes it will be a great turnout.
“We get annoyed with each other very easily, but if we stick together as a group we will be great this year,” says Lee.
