Lorieona Jannone is a freshman at Struthers High School who is a multi-sport athlete. She participates in track, basketball, and soccer.

Jannone has been running track since her seventh grade year. Every year, she enjoys it more and more.

The freshman enjoys meeting new people each year.

“Making new friends and seeing different people from schools at different meets is one of my favorite parts of being on a team,” states the freshman.

The relay races are her favorite events to run. Since Jannone’s 7th grade year, she has had a relay spot.

The player has always had a love for this sport.

“For how athletic I was, I felt like track would be a good sport for me, and I turned out to love it,” said Jannone.

Coming from middle school track to high school track can be very difficult for some people. It is a completely different atmosphere while running.

Jannone puts a lot of dedication into this sport.

“High school track takes more dedication and more work than middle school track does,” says Jannone.
