On March 15th, the Penguins hosted Oklahoma State for the NIT and lost on March 15.

Throughout the season the Penguins have outscored all of their opponents while averaging 82.5 points per game and their opponents averaging 72.6 points per game. Dwayne Cohill led the team in minutes per game with 34.0 minutes.

“I just thought our guys stayed resilient, certainly it was not our night but winning teams find ways to win and I thought we you know we found ways to make some plays,” says Coach Calhoun.

William Dunn leads the team with the highest three-point percentage, with 46 percent. While Dwyane Cohill is not far behind with 43 percent.

YSU stands at 24-9 without this upcoming game vs Oklahoma State.

“I thought I had him prepared to play against the zone and I don’t think I did a good enough job, uh so you know whoever we play Jamie do we know we play,” says Calhoun.

Cohill has a total of 586 points this year, averaging 17.8 points per game.

Adrian Nelson leads the team with steals and blocks. With a total of 47 steals and 17 blocks this season.

“We just knew going into the second half we had to pick it up defensively and offensively and I was uh one of the main reasons or one of the main people that had to pick it up,” says Nelson.
