The upcoming girls’ and boys’ track and field season is getting ready to tip its way off. The team is coming off of a pretty good season from last year, also having a few runners qualify for state during the indoor season.

Outdoor track and field season is a time of year where all runners enjoy running. The environment of the season grants positivity for all the players involved.

The athletes are very inspired and fired up for the upcoming season; they believe it will be a great season for them.

“I feel good about this upcoming season to be honest, I think it will be a great year because we have great athletes,” says Anthony Carter, a returning varsity runner on the team.

The team believes that this year could be a great year for them, because a lot of their good runners from last year will be returning back again.

They have goals as an overall team that they will work hard to achieve throughout the season. However, they also have personal goals that each and every runner is working towards.

“My main goal is a PR and to run faster times than last year,” says Carter.

Both the boys’ and girls’ running teams have been working very hard this off-season with a lot of them participating in the indoor season as well.

The coaching staff has been extremely supportive throughout the downtime, by focusing on runners’ stamina and explosiveness.

“The coaches are very supportive; they make sure that I’m ready for the season and in shape to run,” says Carter.

Look out for the track teams this year because they are moving faster than ever.
