‘Bungou Stray Dogs’ is a popular anime produced by the studio Bones in Japan. Studio Bones released an official statement on November 7th, 2021 that season four is confirmed along with a small visual. On January 4th, 2023, the first episode aired.

One fan talked about how excited they were.

“When I first heard about the new season I was really excited! I love Bungou Stray Dogs,  and have been A fan for almost two years now. I’m really happy to be able to see the new arc animated,” says Danny Rhodes.

They went on to say while they like the anime; Studio Bones have missed a few things they wish were in it, just smaller things that would have fans understand the plot a bit better.

Another fan is critical of the new season.

“While I do like the new season, it’s just missing so many small details that mean everything. I don’t want to spoil the anime, I just think that [Studio Bones] could have been better,” says Axel.

One person who is neutral about the season was able to email me with their thoughts on the new season. 

“The new season isn’t what I have a problem with, really it’s the new fans. I want to preface this by saying I have been a fan of Bungou Stray Dogs since 2013, when there were only two volumes of the manga out yet,” says TV Tropes.org
