Mr. Malcomson has been a teacher at Struthers High School for 24 years.

The veteran teacher likes science and math involving logical problems and puzzles, so that’s why he wanted to teach in the science department.

He wanted to become a teacher because he always loved school, and he liked taking part in discussions that help you learn.

“I have always enjoyed education. I loved school, and I always enjoyed participating in discussions designed to inform,” says Malcomson.

He likes to watch his children play sports, and he enjoys watching soccer outside of school.

Mr. Malcomson likes teaching all of his classes, but his favorite class would have to be Environmental Science because of the comprehensiveness of it.

“I really enjoy whatever I teach, but if I had to pick one I would say Environmental Science, since it is comprehensive,” says the Chemistry teacher.

Malcomson doesn’t remember specific students, he remembers classes more and the one class that will always stick with him will be his AP class.

The soccer fan went to McDonald High School for his younger years and also got his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.

“I also earned a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from YSU,” says AP Environmental teacher.

One of his hidden talents that he has is that he is a good cook.
