Chance Laczko was named WKBN’s Player of the Game.

Senior Chance Laczko is a student athlete at Struthers High School. He plays point guard, sets up the offense, and sets up all the plays on the offensive and defensive sides on the basketball team.

Laczko was player of the game versus Girard for the Game of the Week.

Struthers biggest game of the year is facing Girard High School. This is the Wildcats’ biggest competition.

The point guard had the game winning point for the Wildcats.

“It was the best feeling ever, better than I could have imagined. I had no idea the game would end like that, and I was glad to be able to have that opportunity and have the game rest in my hands,” says Laczko.

The Wildcats were excited for their showdown vs. the Indians. The Wildcats were hoping for this victory against the Indians.

The student athlete was very excited over this win, and it meant a lot to him.

“It meant everything to me because this was our last go around with basketball and to be able to win with my friends and great coaches couldn’t have been any better,” says the senior.

The Wildcats still have a chance of being the NE8 Champions. The team is striving to be champions for the fourth year in a row.

The senior wants his big win with his team for his last year.

“If we get lucky enough, we can split the league title with another team and possibly win a district championship if we work together as a group. The overall goal as a team and organization is to ultimately make it to the championship and even if we were to lose, the goal is to play in that big game,” says the basketball player.

The Wildcats took the victory over the Girard Indians with a score of 56-54.
