JUMPING INTO LIFE CHANGES
February 15, 2023
Could you imagine falling in love with the perfect match for you and marrying the love of your life? Only for them to disappear and take all of your money and everything you’ve earned in life with them?
The TV show “The Imposters” is about a beautiful girl named Maddie (Inbar Lavi) that has a very intense job. Along with a very intense boss, they call her boss, “The Doctor” (Ray Proscia). While Maddie (Inbar Lavi) has a team of her own, Sally (Katherine LaNasa) and Max (Brian Benben). The Doctor gives them assignments with a lot of research, including what they love, what catches their eye, and the way to help them feel loved after being alone. It’s Maddie’s job to make these people fall in love with her, and then marry her. After the marriage, they take all of that person’s money and even end up taking away that person’s dignity as well. While her spouses are always confused at first, she makes a website for them explaining what was going on and leaves them an envelope blackmailing them and threatening to release if, if they ever try to come after her.
One thing that was very intriguing that they added to this show is when they had some of her old spouses actually meet each other without the intention. They end up finding each other while trying to look for Maddie. While they realized it was not going to be as easy as they thought tracking her down, they joined forces with each other and became a team of their own. Doing what they had to do to find where Maddie went and where their money was.
Something to critique in a bad way would be that Maddie did not end up marrying the guy she actually fell for until her boss decided to make him their next assignment/victim. Maddie realized she was not the only one lying about who she was. She found out he knew what kind of person she was and who she worked for. He was a part of the FBI and was trying to find her boss to catch him and arrest him. In the end, however, they both fell in love with each other and still did not end up together. After everything they have been through together, people figured they would result in dating in the end and having a real relationship, especially since Maddie craved real love for so long. But that was not the case.
“The Imposters” was a very interesting mystery and mind-racing TV show. This show would be recommended to the people who love trying to guess what’s going to happen next and love being on the edge of their seat while watching. This show deserves a 7/10 rating.
