“Don’t Worry Darling,” directed by Olivia Wilde, gave viewers a psychological thriller on September 23rd.

The movie follows “Alice,” who is played by Florence Pugh, as a housewife living in a company based town. She suspects a sinister secret from the residents by the man who created it. While containing the famous Florence Pugh, the singer Harry Styles plays the role of the husband of  Alice. “Don’t Worry Darling” also contains the director herself Olivia Wilde playing “Bunny.”

The unique plot in “Don’t Worry Darling” lets the audience understand how much one person can have mind power over a city which is honestly quite terrifying. Actor Chris Pine plays the character “Frank” who is the creator of the company and town the many families live in. Before Jack and Alice moved to the town, they were just a normal couple living in an apartment until they heard about the “Victory Project.” The Victory project consists of brain washing the families into thinking they are living a happy life with the men going to work and the women being housewives. Until one day Alice decides to go to headquarters and remembers the whole truth.

“Don’t Worry Darling” was based in the 1950s which was mainly portrayed by the actors themselves. In April of 2020, the original cast was supposed to be Florence Pugh, Shia LaBeouf and Chris Pine. Several months later Wilde decided she wanted a younger couple at the center of the film, making Harry Styles join the cast, replacing LaBeouf. With the use of the cast, Wilde was able to make viewers feel like the film was actually filmed in the 1950s. The reason many loved the way wilde used each actor was because each one portrayed the role amazingly.

“Don’t Worry Darling” received a 6.5/10 which is quite shocking. Many viewers loved the movie mainly because of the choice of actors and the psychological aspect.
