As Chaz Ekoniak enters his senior year at Struthers High School, he definitely takes this one to his grave.
Ekoniak loves to lead his team to victory and keep his team on track as they get ready for these big games.
Number 14 has strategies to keep his team in the right mindset before, after and during Friday night games.
“I like to keep everyone under control if they go crazy and be able to keep the team on track before our games to get us in the right mindset to play,” says Ekoniak.
The football player is in his last year at Struthers which is also his last year to leave his big mark.
Ekoniak wants to leave an impact behind him when he graduates; he wants to keep the legacy that no matter how far down things can turn around.
“After I graduate, I want the future years to never give up because we were 1-4 and now we are 7-5,” says the senior.
Being a team consists of everyone being together. Ekoniak and many other seniors have a special part to where anyone younger than them will constantly look up to them.
As he is finishing up his senior year, Ekoniak loves this feeling of being able to impact the younger grades and knowing he will leave a mark on this team.
“As a senior, I love having people look up to me and being able to lead the team to a better team for the season,” says Ekoniak.
As the soon-to-be graduate wraps up his last time on the playing field, he will forever hold his spot on the Struthers Wildcats football team.
